More at Four Expansion to Increase Services to Children

The More at Four (MAF) State Pre-K Program will expand as a result of a $30M budgetary increase! The funding increase will expand services to an additional 3,467 children. Head Start and MAF collaboration has steadily increased since 2006 to the extent that Head Start programs account for 18.25% of children served with MAF funding!  Collaborations with MAF help Head Start programs build on their existing quality by shrinking class sizes, lengthening the school year, and raising the credentials of teaching staff. The comprehensive services of Head Start programs coupled with the quality initiatives of MAF provide a depth of service to children and families that is unparalleled!
